Position vacant – Junior President

To all Blackburn Orioles Baseball Club members,

Following the Club’s AGM in July, Ross Shafto informed the Club that he will not be able to continue to complete the duties of Junior President, a role he has held for a number of years and with great success.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to find a successor for Ross in either the Junior or Senior programs. This is a very important role that needs to be filled within the Club, so the Committee is urgently seeking someone to take up the position.

The role is that of a co-ordinator and putting some pieces into place for the Juniors. Ross has segmented the task very well, so it will be quite easy to pick up and run with. Much of the work for the 2014-2015 season has been done by Ross, and anyone who joins the role will be given all the support of Jacquie, David, Bruce, Ross and the whole Committee.

We stress again it is vital to the junior program at this Club that someone takes the reigns of this position. This is YOUR Club. Please help.

  1. I noticed your post on the Facebook page about this vacancy that needs to be filled. Are you open to foreign coaches / managers willing to pay their flight to be part of an Australian baseball club? This link leads to a list of potential candidates that are willing to pay their flight.
