The Blackburn Baseball Club is more than the Premierships and the Flags, we strive to create the right culture and environment that promotes the development of our people! Our history is built on these good people which translates into success both on and off the field.
Founded in 1963 when a few mates wanted something to do in the Cricket offseason, Blackburn Baseball Club is now one of the largest club's competing in Baseball Victoria's Victorian Summer Baseball League (VSBL).
Blackburn Orioles or 'The Burners' has a proud and successful history, not only in the VSBL but also with players representing our club on State, National and Major League Teams. A 6 time DIvision 1 / Premier League Champion Club with multiple premierships across the Juniors, Seniors and Masters Grades including 3 Club Championships.
The Burners are located in Billabong Park, Vermont South and cater to people of all ages and abilities. We offer multiple Senior Teams, a Women's Team, Masters Teams, and Junior Teams at every age group inclusive of our own T-Ball Program!

LITTLE BURNERS T-BALL
The Little Burners T-Ball Program is designed to teach the youngest of players the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and interactive way.
The Little Burners is based on the Baseball Australia Little League T-Ball Program and is delivered by our great coaches!
All kids get a hat and a T-Shirt, with the club providing all the equipment necessary.
The Little Burners runs on Wednesday Nights during the Summer Season
Whilst we are always proud of the success of our Junior program which has produced numerous State and National representatives, we pride ourselves on ensuring the kids develop a love for the sport first and foremost.
The club is lucky enough to have a lot of great people invest their time and effort into ensuring all Juniors get the best possible experience and development. It doesn't matter if you're an upcoming superstar or new to the game, we welcome all Junior players at Blackburn.
JUNIORS
For over 25 years, we have competed in the top flight of the VSBL securing 6 Premierships along the way and becoming a destination club both on and off the field.
It's not just our Firsts that have seen success with Premierships across other grades and key focus on the development of our players at our core.
The Burners offer Senior teams from Premier League (1st Grade) through to more social and recreational competitions.
SENIORS
MASTERS
With a history of great baseballers playing for the Burners, a large cohort return each year to play in our Masters (38+ and 45+) teams, in a testament to the friendships and care for the club they have developed over time.
These teams have a mix of former 1st Grade players through to recreational players who all still enjoy the game (along with sharing stories of their past greatness) in a great environment that keeps these players involved.

in 2023/24 we celebrate our 60th year of baseball. we started with 4 teams of kids from blackburn high and now are one of the best clubs in the land.
